GDPR Statement:
We take the protection of your personal data extremely seriously, after all we are private individuals too, and value our personal data as much as you do. We use the best security software available, update our security as often as updates are available, and will never, ever disclose your details to anyone who doesn’t need to know it, and that you have not authorised to have it.
Your Personal Data and what we do with it.
We use your personal data for the purposes of preparing the requested Report for your vehicle. We will then retain your data to assist your nominated claims manager to make a claim against the person or company responsible for your losses.
What Data do you hold?
Your data is limited to your contact information in most cases this information will be limited to your contact information, your vehicle’s identifying marks, and details of the incident resulting in your claim.
We do not record telephone calls, but we do make notes on our computerised records detailing any relevant information resulting from Telephone communications.
Why do you need my data?
We require your contact information to contact you, identify your vehicle, speak to other agencies authorised by you, and to prepare correspondence on your behalf.
How Long do you hold my data?
We will retain an electronic record of your data for a maximum of 6 years. You may request we delete your data at any time. Please see “My Rights” below.
Do you give my data to anyone else?
If a physical inspection of your vehicle is required, which is where an Engineer comes out to look at your vehicle in person, we send this Engineer your personal data. This Engineer has signed up to the requirements under the GDPR legislation, and we hold copies of the statements which are available upon request.
We will NEVER give your data to anyone else who you have not already authorised to have this data. We NEVER use your data for sales or marketing, unsolicited emails, calls, texts, letters or other communication mediums. We NEVER sell your data to anyone under any circumstances.
How Secure is my Data?
We use encrypted databases to hold your data, access to which is restricted to those who need to know. Our Systems are protected by excellent commercially available Security Software and Hardware which is maintained and updated whenever updates are available.

You have the right to request that we delete all the information we hold which can identify you. Please send your request to:

Please note that once we have deleted your data, it is gone forever. Once deleted we will not be able to assist you with any matters arising from your claim, or issues which may arise later. Please be sure you wish us to delete your data before making this request.
2: My Right to have a copy of all the data you hold about me.
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you. This request must be made in writing to the Data Controller at Evans Harding Engineers, as above.
For the purposes of these rights, a request made to Evans Harding Engineers will cover the expert we instruct on your behalf.
